On August 28, 2025, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met with a delegation of executive directors for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Beijing.

Ding Xuexiang noted that the ADB, as an important multilateral development institution in the Asia-Pacific region, has made positive contributions to supporting China's development. The Chinese side hopes that the ADB will continue to deeply participate in China's modernization process. The Chinese side is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with the ADB and explore and expand cooperation areas to better promote China's high-quality development and benefit the entire Asia-Pacific region. Since the beginning of this year, China's economy has made progress while ensuring stability, and demonstrated strong vitality and resilience. China will fully and faithfully apply the new development philosophy on all fronts, consolidate and expand the sound momentum of economic recovery, and inject more certainty into global development.

The ADB executive directors spoke highly of China's development achievements and expressed willingness to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of cooperation relations between the two sides as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and support the high-quality development of China's economy.
