On May 14, Chinese Ambassadorto Belgium Fei Shengchao gave an interview to China voorbij de muur, a podcast produced by VRT. During the interview, he spoke with hosts Veerle de Vos and Tom Van de Weghe on a range of topics, including the meeting between the Chinese and US presidents, China’s relations and economic and trade cooperation with Belgium and theEU, the situation in the Middle East and the Ukraine crisis.The program was released on May 31.

Ambassador Fei stressed that China and Belgium, as well as China and Europe are partners rather than rivals. China stands ready to strengthen communication with the Belgian and European side, enhance mutual understanding, make the cake of shared interests bigger, properly manage differences through dialogue, and achieve common progress and mutual success through open-ended cooperation.
