On April 26, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao attended “Enjoy Chinese, Bridge China and Belgium”2026 International Chinese Language Day and delivered remarks.

H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao said that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium. It is very befitting that we use “Enjoy Chinese, Bridge China and Belgium”as the theme of the International Chinese Language Day Activity. “Enjoy Chinese” means enjoying the beauty of the Chinese language. “Bridge China and Belgium” implies strengthening the friendship between China and Belgium. We hope that both Chinese people and Belgian people can take the Chinese language as a boat and the Chinese culture as a sail,and set sail on a great voyage to create a brighter future for China-Belgium relations!

2026 International Chinese Language Day includes two parts, Chinese culture experience fair and cultural tour by Beijing Foreign Studies University art troupe (in Brussels). Nearly 600 people，Belgium international friends including European parliamentarians, diplomatics envoys and Chinese learners from from across the sectors in Belgium, including teenagers from Primary and Secondary Schools participated in the activity.
