On April 26, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchaofrom the Chinese Embassy in Belgium attended 2026Chinese Bridge-Belgium Final and delivered remarks.

8. E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao said that 2026 marks the 55th anniversary of China-Belgiumdiplomatic relation. Through the bridge of the Chinese language, the Chinese people and the Belgian people could better understand and learn from each other. We hopemore and more Belgian teenagers will take a try with Chinese language classes, experience the profound and colorful Chinese culture, and become young envoys promoting friendship between China and Belgium.

Nearly 50 contestants competed intensively in the competition. In the end, Julie Bogaerts from KULeuven won the first prize in the undergraduate group, Hena Boeckmans from Sint Franciscus College, Heusden- Zolder won the first prize in the MiddleSchool group, and Catharina Verlee from Sint-Leo Hemelsdale Brugge won the first prize in the Primary School group.

Since 2002, there have been 4 contestants from Belgium who won the global championship in the Chinese Bridge competitions.
