On September 24, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Belgium and the Chinese Mission to the EU jointly hosted a reception celebrating the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. More than 800 people attended the event, including Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium Li Yan, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU Ambassador Cai Run, senior officials from the Belgian government and EU institutions, as well as representatives from various sectors in Belgium and Europe, Chinese-funded institutions and Chinese communities.

Chargé d'Affaires Li reviewed China's remarkable development achievements and introduced the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. She noted that China has consistently demonstrated the responsibility of a major country and made important contributions to world peace and development. China stands ready to work with Belgium to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders and to elevate the China-Belgium all-round partnership of friendship and cooperation to a new level.

Secretary General of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of Belgium Ms.Theodora Gentzis extended warm congratulations on China's National Day, spoke highly of the positive momentum in the development of Belgium-China rclations and expressed sincere expectations for deepening exchanges and cooperation across various fields between the two countries.

The guests highly commended China's development achievements and expressed their best wishes for the future development of China-Belgium relations. The reception was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
