On November 22, Hainan Airlines officially launched a direct flight between Brussels and Chongqing. Ms. Li Yan, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, Van den Eynde, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Brussels Airport, and Li Meng, General Manager of Hainan Airlines Brussels Office, attended the inaugural ceremony, jointly witnessing the new beginning of the Brussels-Chongqing international route.

The Brussels-Chongqing route is Hainan Airlines' latest international route from Belgium to China, following the previously launched routes to Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. With the launch of this new route, there will be a total of 21 passenger flights per week between China and Belgium. This new route will provide passengers traveling between Belgium and China with more diverse travel options and further promote people-to-people exchanges and friendly relations between the two countries.
