On August 12, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao visited the Danis Group in West Flanders. He was accompanied by Mr. Bart Naeyaert, Deputy Governor of West Flanders, and Mme. Véronique Buyck, Mayor of Ardooie, where the Group is located.

The Danis Group gave a briefing to the visiting delegation on the group and its cooperation with China. Ambassador Fei also visited a sow farm to learn about the on-farm application of genetic selection technology and pig breeding. Ambassador Fei noted that China is the world’s largest pork consumer market, with a growing demand for high-quality pork products. Strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Belgian companies holds great potential, broad prospects and abundant opportunities in pork and other agricultural and food products and industries.

The Danis Group’s business covers the entire chain from soybean and feed production, genetic selection and breeding of pigs, to slaughtering, cutting, processing and packaging. It is a major enterprise in Belgium’s feed and pig farming industry.
