Reporters invited to cover upcoming NPC, CPPCC sessions

The 3rd session of the 11th National People's Congress and the 3rd session of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC are to be convened on March 5 and March 3 in Beijing respectively. Overseas reporters are invited to cover the two major political events.

A media center will be opened on Feb. 26 for the two meetings at the Media Center Hotel (11 Yi, Fuxing Road, Xicheng District, Beijing) to serve the needs of journalists.

Foreign reporters temporarily in China for the "two sessions" should firstly apply at the Press Section of Chinese Embassy in Belgium at least one weeks before going to the consular section. Digital photo (320x140,100-200KB,JPG), copies of passport and press card, CV and introduction of the Media Organization are required. Foreign journalists accredited in China please submit applications to the International Press Center (IPC) of the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry. The application will be closed on Feb. 28.

Two websites were opened to help domestic and overseas journalists report the "two sessions" as the country's top-level political events are drawing near. The websites, www.npc.gov.cn/pc/11_3 for the NPC session and www.cppcc.gov.cn for the CPPCC session, will post information related to news reporting on the events.
