On June 26, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao paid a visit to Belgian Olympic & Interfederal Committee (BOIC) and met with Jean-Michel Saive, President of BOIC.   

Ambassador Fei Shengchao said that sports, as a important part of cultural exchanges, serve as a bridge that connects hearts and fosters mutual understanding between civilizations. In recent years, sports exchanges and cooperation have been growing steadily between China and Belgium. Both sides will continue to work hand in hand to promote cooperation and solidarity through sports, and further deepen the friendship between the two peoples.

President Jean-Michel Saive introduced the development of BOIC and the achievements of Team Belgian at the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. He also looked forward to visiting China again during the Chengdu World Games.

The event was also attended by Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Gao Wei for cultural and tourism affairs, Director of the China Cutural Center Gong Yi, Secretary-General of BOIC Cédric Van Branteghem, and Head of the World Games Delegation (Team Belgium) Gert Van Looy.
