Happy Chinese New Year of the Snake: Chinese Zodiac Design & Creative Contest Artworks Selection Belgium 2025 Opens at Bright Festival in Brussels

On Feburary 13, the exhibition Happy Chinese New Year of the Snake: Chinese Zodiac Design & Creative Contest Artworks Selection Belgium 2025 opened in Brussels. The event was attended by almost 100 guestsincluding Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao, Chinese Minister Counsellor of the Mission to the European Union Chen Su, CEO of Visit Brussels Patrick Bontinck, Deputy Head of Protocol, Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs Vincent Remy, as well as diplomatic envoys, Chinese and Belgian artists.

In his remarks,Ambassador Fei Shengchao said that as an important part of Spring Festival, Chinese zodiac has a long history. This year, we present the Zodiac Design Contest for the first time using video projection technique in Brussels. Hopefully people in Brussels from around the world will have an opportunity to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese zodiac culture and feel the lively atmosphere of the Chinese New Year during Bright Festival in Brussels.

In his remarks, Mr. Patrick Bontinck said thatlight art can transcend geographical and linguistic borders. The exhibition is not only a celebration of creativity and innovation, but also a reflection of a vibrant cultural dialogue between Belgium and China.

The exhibition is hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, Visit Brussels, Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, China Cultural Center in Brussels, organized by Atlas Hiseas and China Europe International Design Culture Association, and sponsored by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Bank of China. The exhibition is open to the public during the Bright Brussels Festival at Cinquantenaire park.
