On January 29, the Grand Chinese New Year Concert of 2025 was successfully held at Bozar Brussels. The concert was attended by almost two thousand audiences including Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao, Chinese Minister of the Mission to the European Union Zhu Jing, EU officials, diplomatic envoys, representatives from Belgian political, business, cultural, educational sectors in Belgium.

Ambassador Fei noted in his speech that the essence of the Spring Festival lies in family reunion and sharing joy. We celebrate the very first day of the Chinese New Year with an amazing folk music concert with a hope to strengthen friendships through music and bring cherished New Year memories and good luck to everyone.

The concert, led by renowned conductor Li Xincao, featured a remarkable performance by the China Conservatory of Music. Playing classic traditional orchestral pieces, including Festival Overture and Dance of the Golden Snake, the artists have vividly created a festive atmosphere and communicated profound feelings of the Chinese nation. The concert culminated with an enthusiastic encore of Blooming Flowers and Full Moon.

This concert was part of the “Happy Chinese New Year” series in 2025 in Belgium, following the Happy Spring Festival Concert and the Chinese Spring Festival Fair, adding one more brilliant chapter to the festive celebrations.
