On October 19, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao was invited to CERIS-ULB Diplomatic School of Brussels and delivered a speech entitled Hand in Hand, Create New Prospects for China-Belgium All-round Partnership of Friendly Cooperation; Rain or Shine, Make New Progress in Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humankind. Ambassador Fei expounded on what the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee means for China and the world to Belgian diplomacy students and diplomats from various countries posted in Belgium, highlighting Chinese modernization and China’s independent foreign policy of peace. Ambassador Fei gave a detailed presentation on China’s past, present and future, on China’s answers to pressing questions of the day in a changing world, on China-Belgium relations, and on China’s positions on regional and international hotspot issues. Around 80 guests attended the event, and over 30 others watched the speech live online. With lively interactions and communication, the speech and the following Q&A session were warmly received by the audience.
