On September 4, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Fei Shengchao attended Macao Photo Exhibition 2024 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to China, which is organized by Macao Economic and Trade Office to the EU, in Brussels. Lúcia Abrantes dos Santos, Head of the office and representatives from local Chinese community attended the exhibition.

In his remarks, Ambassador Fei said that twenty-five years on, Macao has written a magnificent chapter of the successful practice of One Country, Two Systems. We are confident that on the new journey of further deepening reform comprehensively and advancing Chinese modernization, Macao will fully unleash its potential and play a more significant role. We hope that Belgium will actively promote more practical cooperation with Macao based on its unique strengths. The Chinese embassy in Belgium will work to help build more bridges for deepening exchanges and cooperation between Macao and the Belgian side.
