On August 16, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in Belgium held the 2024 Farewell Reception for CSC Belgian Students & Friendly Dialogue and Exchange Program among the Youth Between China and Belgium under the theme of “Getting to Know Each Other Better”. The event was attended by nearly 150 guests, including CSC Belgian students and families, Chinese students studying in Belgium, and students and teachers from Tsinghua and other Chinese universities who are in Belgium for summer research programs.

The Chinese Ambassador to Belgium H. E. Mr. Fei Shengchao said in his speech that opening up is a defining feature of Chinese modernization. China stays committed to high-standard opening up, which will benefit people from around the world, including foreign students who go to China to study. Openness brings progress, and cooperation produces mutual benefits. Hopefully that while getting to know each other better, Chinese and Belgian students will pursue the goal of learning extensively and inclusively, carrying out rational analysis and screening of the knowledge and information learned, and putting into practice the knowledge and wisdom proven to be true, find more commonalities of each other, make more friends.

During the event, Chinese and Belgian students had candid and lively exchange of ideas, bringing hearts closer between the two peoples.
