A large number of fans at different ages from Belgium and beyond send their wishes both online and offline on occasion of the pandas’ birthdays every year. At this year’s celebration for Bao Di and Bao Mei, visitors spontaneously sang the Happy Birthday song for the twins.

When attending the celebration, Ambassador Fei noted that the panda family has witnessed the profound friendship between the Chinese and Belgian peoples, and the joint research between China and Belgium on giant panda breeding has set a good example of international cooperation in wildlife conservation. The Embassy of China in Belgium will work with friends from all parties to further deepen China-Belgium exchanges and cooperation in different fields.
