2020-03-19 00:26

The Federal Government of Belgium announced stricter measures to help curb the further spread of COVID-19 on 17 March 2020. The measures require Belgians to stay at home as much as possible and limit non-essential trips, and will apply from noon on Wednesday 18 March until Sunday 5 April. In view of those new measures, the Chinese Embassy of Belgium will adjust its consular services hours as follows:

1) As from 23 March, the office will open on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. The services for notarization and legalization will be suspended. For applicants for travel documents that have already made appointments on Monday or Friday, please visit the Consular Office on the Wednesday of the week of appointment. We suggest postponing your application except for urgent reasons.

2) The consulting telephone and email services remain unchanged. You may reach the Consular Office at 0032-27750888 from 9:00 am to 12:00 am from Monday to Friday.

3) All consular documents will be returned with postal services with no special reasons.

4) Those with emergency, please call our consular assistance hotline at 0032-27632006.

5) The Brussels Chinese Visa Application Service Center will open on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:30 am as from 23 March. The consulting telephone and email services of the Center remain unchanged. For details, please pay attention to the website of the Center via www.visaforchina.org.
