In the morning on 30th September 2019, the Embassy of China in Belgium held a solemn flag-raising ceremony in commemoration of the 70 anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Over seventy persons, including diplomats and staff of the Embassy, employees of Chinese companies in Belgium, overseas Chinese students and representatives from the overseas Chinese community attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Cao Zhongming spoke at the ceremony. He said that the great achievements of the New China are only made possible through the united efforts of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. We must cherish the good lives we have now, which have not come easily, stay true to our original aspiration and mission, and work relentlessly towards realization of the two centenary goals and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
