Ambassador Cao Zhongming visited Tournai on 22nd June 2019. Mayor Paul-Olivier Delannois, together with major officials from the city government, warmly welcomed the ambassador at the city council. The two sides held a cordial meeting exchanging views over such topics as friendly exchanges and cooperation between Chinese cities and Tournai.

        After the meeting, Ambassador Cao and Mayor Delannois unveiled the exhibition of Chinese paintings and calligraphy hosted by Tournai Euro-China Cultural Center and visited the teachers and students from the Chinese language school in Tournai.

        Ambassador Cao went on to the Tourism Office of the city and discussed with its director the promotion of Tournai tourism.
