The fourth Chinese New Year Parade was held in Antwerp on February 2nd 2019.

        Ambassador of China to Belgium Cao Zhongming, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU Zhang Ming, Deputy Director General of the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office Liu Guangyong, Mayor of Antwerp De Wever, Vice Mayor Van Campenhout, along with close to ten thousand local residents, overseas Chinese, and Chinese students attended the event. Ambassador Cao Zhongming and Mayor De Wever delivered warm remarks and extended new year greetings to the Chinese community in Belgium.

        Ambassador Cao Zhongming and Mayor De Wever also visited an exhibition showcasing China's progress in the past forty years since introducing reform and opening up in the hall of the Elizabeth Center. The Ambassador and Vice Mayors of Antwerp also joined local Chinese and Belgian people in watching a performance staged by young artists from the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
