The demand for Chinese visas from Belgium has grown rapidly in recent years. To provide better services for visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, following the success of Belgian visa application service centre in China and others, has decided to introduce Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Belgium this April.

Operated by China Visa Services Ltd, a company legally registered in Belgium, the centre will be responsible for accepting visa applications of ordinary passport holders for traveling to mainland China, collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and returning processed applications. In accordance with Belgian laws, the centre will take all measures to protect the safety of applicants' personal information and passports. To ensure the centre's operation, a service fee will be charged according to pre-published rates. the centre is not involved in the visa decision process.

Holders of diplomatic, service or official passport, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, service, courtesy visa and visa-exempt certificate, or applicants applying for the Hong Kong visa/entry permit must submit their applications directly to the Chinese Embassy as before.

Visa applications of ordinary passport holders can be accepted and returned by either the Chinese Embassy or the centre, without service fee, during the trial operation period running from 20^th to 27^th this April and by the centre only when the trial operation finishes. Visa applications submitted to the Chinese Embassy before the trial period must be collected from the Embassy.
