China and Belgium are located at the east and west ends of the Eurasian continent respectively, yet exchanges between the two peoples date back centuries. Our two countries established diplomatic relations in 1971. Over the 50 plus years ever since, China-Belgium relations have come a long way on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit. In 2014, President Xi Jinping paid a historic state visit to Belgium, during which he, together with the Belgian side, elevated the China-Belgium relationship to an all-round partnership of friendly cooperation, ushering in a new chapter for bilateral relations. I believe with concerted efforts from both sides, China-Belgium relations will have an even brighter future, deliver more benefits to our two countries and two peoples, and contribute to the steady and sound development of China-EU relations.

As the 16th Chinese Ambassador to Belgium, I will work with my embassy colleagues to help deepen China-Belgium relations and exchanges and cooperation in different areas, promote friendly exchanges between the two peoples, and uphold the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese businesses and citizens in Belgium. Via this website, new media platforms and other channels, we will make every effort to provide useful information for people from all walks of life who care about and support the development of China-Belgium relations, open more windows and doors for you to see China and China-Belgium relations in a comprehensive, objective and truthful light, build more bridges for deepening China-Belgium cooperation and friendship between the two peoples, promote the building of a community with a shared future for humankind, and lend greater impetus to world peace, cooperation and development.
