Libramont Agricultural Fair Held

The annual agricultural fair at Libramont is being held in Libramont, Luxemberg from July 28 to 31, from 09.00 through 19.00 hrs. This agricultural, forestry and agri-food Fair is a huge open-air exhibition and a true showcase for the countryside and its pursuits in: machinery, livestock breeding, forestry, the agri-food industry, horticulture, study, research, education, culture etc. It is unrivalled in Europe.

A Chinese delegation from Heilongjiang Province, led by Cao Yafan, Vice-Chairman of CPPCC of the province, attends the Fair.  Two more delegations from Henan Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region also pay visits to the Fair.

Zhang Qiyue, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium, attended the opening ceremony of the Fair and delivered a speech.  She congratulated the opening of the Fair, introduced briefly the present situation of Chinese agriculture and development in future, and offered her best wishes to the cooperation in the field of agriculture between Heilongjiang and Luxemberg provinces.

The Libramont Fair was first held in 1926 to promote the Ardennes draught horse. Since then, it has grown, expanded and diversified to become the benchmark reference for the agricultural world.
